March 5, 2004 IGS Visits Eaton Distribution Center |

Industrial Global Sales, represented by
its President: Luis Abellon, and Sales Manager: Carlos Casadevall,
visited the Eaton Distribution Center in Cleveland, Feb. 17 and 18 .
This facility, centrally located in Tennessee has been designated by
Eaton as the main Distribution Center for Boston and Weatherhead
products in the United States. In Cleveland, Eaton stocks massive
amounts of products and consolidates orders for the vast majority of
its customers. Previously, orders were shipped directly from
factories spread around the country, which created several logistics
complications. We were impressed by the size and amount of inventory in this facility, as well as with the comprehensive renovation and updating process being implemented at the plant to be able to handle the levels of demand expected from the Boston and Weatherhead lines. Renovation includes, among others: new configuration of racks and storing space (see pictures below), evolution to three shifts per day and updated software systems. All these improvements will directly benefit IGS and, as a direct consequence, all our distributors. As we are nearing the end of the transition phase and getting ready to start to start shipments from our facility in Sunrise on March 22nd, it was extremely important to exchange ideas with the people at Cleveland, TN. Our meetings with them, allowed us to streamline details about current and future stock shipments to our Sunrise facility, and also coordinate details on all pending drop-shipments to Freight Forwarders.
